Pit Bull Pomegranate Blueberry

Leave it to Pit Bull to get this flavor right. If any company was going to do this, I am glad that this is by the same folk who blended the flavor of cranberries and grapefruit so perfectly. Xenergy's Blu Pom came close, but this flavor is far superior. So Far, the Entire Pit Bull line is Way above average, and it is more that a little disappointing that there are none to be found near my area of the country.

Packaging:6
You never know what to expect from a Pit Bull Energy can. From the outside, you would never picture that there is an energy drink so delicious inside. Not that it is designed bady - for a 1980s video game, but for an energy drink it is pretty silly. The goofy illustration and that horrible font, mixed with those blue and red colors makes me think that someone there is in love with their Commodore 64 too much. True, they do list their caffeine and have everything in spanish as well, but with no double facing design to help their product be shelved easier, the lid on facing a haphazard direction and worthless intro paragraph on why this drink is different, it is in dire and desperate need for a makeover.
Taste:9
This flavor is another hit from Pit Bull. I don't like this quite as much as the pink grapefruit cranberry, but it is still an exceptional flavor. I thought this would have been much more candied, but there was just the right amount of sweetness. The flavor is very complex, lending to notes of berries, citrus, and friutiness. The only issue I found was it seemed very thick and heavy. I am also going to review the sugar free version, which might make things lighter.

The carbonation was verylight, and the can was easy to drink in spite of the heaviness. For a HFCS drink, I would choose this over most of the drinks I see in my convenience store cooler. If you are lucky enough to see these in your area, you can't go wrong grabbing a couple of theses silly looking cans.

Buzz:8
While this buzz from this could have been stronger, it was decent enough. This drink had what was expected from any energy drink, with 160mg of caffeine, ginseng, taurine inositol, glucurolactone and of course the whole host of vitamin Bs. In terms of nutrition, there is lot a whole lot of sugar and preservatives, so expect a big crash to pay for your fun time guzzling. I understand tat there is supposed to be antioxidants in Pomegranates, but I did not see any actual Pomegranate in the ingredient list. I got about 3 hours of slightly restless energy, and was definitely more happy and alert from it too.
