You have to hand it to Guayaki. This company has managed to take a small niche drink, grown in the rainforest and sipped out of gourds, and foster it into a big organization that produces over a dozen yerba mate products. Guayaki is one of those companies, the ones you WANT to buy from, that pays their workers a decent wage, restores some 200,000 acres of rainforest and helps create hundreds of jobs in places that really need them. Every time you buy a guayaki product, you work towards helping maintain a way of life - which makes drinking even this drink more palatable.

These was a good amount of energy in here, about 150 mg of natural caffeine from the yerba mate and the guarana. It was a very mellow boost, about equal to sipping your way through a double shot of espresso. Like most of their drinks, the lift was nice, but could have been have been even nicer. While the fact that this was non-carbonated helped me drink this much faster, it still took much longer to get this down that the other two flavors.
There was a good deal of nutrition in here, being all natural, all organic, with 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids and for those who care about such things, packed with adaptogenic herbs and antioxidants.
Packaging:9
Like all the Guayaki energy drinks, the best part is the awesome packaging it comes in. Like usual, they completely outdid themselves with the design, finding the nice balance between functional and mesmerizing. Everything is handled with such care and eye for detail that it is a pleasure to be walking around with this can in my hand. Compared to many of the drinks gathering dust on Whole Foods' shelves, this one reaches out and grabs any passers by.
very cool and eye catching.

Normally I don't mind the earthy flavor of the yerba mate. Unfortunately, This one just did not work for me nearly as well as the others. The Yumberry and other berry extracts made this one tasted more tangy and a little too earthy. It reminded me more of a cow pasture than of a rain forest. Not that it tasted like cow poo, but it was certainly off putting enough that no one else in the car wanted anything to do with it. Compared to their Lemon Elation and Enlighten Mint, this one was quite a letdown.
Next time, grab an EnlightenMint - same awesome Guayaki Yerba Mate - only about ten times tastier.
