Drank Anti Energy Drink

Spending my mornings live wired to the teeth
Need some relief need some relief
My homeboys say I should slow down a little
But this sh*t that I'm on make me slow down a lot
This be a bottle pop, I buy a bottle pop
Got some syrup in it, get on my waffle house
But me I'm up in the studio me and my drank
Me and my drank me and my drank
- with all apologies to Lil' Wayne

The original Drank, the illegal one borne out of some dumbass night when one guy was out of booze and only had cold meds around, is one of those drinks you never ever thought someone would come up with. Taking prescription cough medicine, full of codeine and promethazine, pour it in some sprite, and drop some Jolly ranchers in a Styrofoam cup. That's the real Drank, a deadly combo that has killed off Pimp C and DJ Screw. The Drank that was sent to me from the ever gracious Thirsty Pig Distribution, was not so deadly, and was a tasty herbal grape soda that promised to slow my roll.

Buzz:-7
Since this is an anti-energy drink, I am going in the negative for the buzz factor. I am thinking a -7 because it did certainly make me relax, although it did not put me out like a light, like a double martini does. But for those times or people who don't want to drink alcohol to unwind, this is not a bad solution.

Drank has Melatonin, Rose Hips, & Valerian Root as the main ingredient in their relaxation formula which works decently It does not intend to put a person to sleep, or to have them crashing. Instead, it is supposed to just relax and mellow from a hard day. To see how well it worked, I drank them after 3 very stressful workdays, and felt relaxed and more mellow within a half hour of knocking them back. While the effects could be placebo, either way it definitely made me a more mellow person.
Taste:8
I liked it, although I could see why some people wouldn't really enjoy it. At least this is one drink that it would be OK to taste like Cough Syrup. Didn't happen though - as it tastes like grape soda, only more herbal and grape-seed-y. It is also heavy with High Fructose Corn Syrup giving this a more thick syrupy texture. The flavor is really good - easy to be a sippin' drink.

Packaging:8
Drank is all full of bling and shiny purple. I am actually surprised that the printing job is not clean and shiny, as that really would have sold to their target market. As it is, it is decent but not amazing. There is no double facing, and their lid is on exactly backwards on all cans, so when a person drinks from it, the brand is hidden from everyone else around. The listing of all the ingredients and the catchy slogan is nice, easy to read, and explains themselves pretty well.
