Blutonium WaterBerry Energy

Folsom Distributing followed the line of Xing Tea and other Distributors who found that they could not only bring other brands to stores, but that it makes a whole lot of sense for them to start making their own. Well, their breakthrough product is for a drink line called Blutonium. It comes in 6 flavors, plus they have two energy shots I have reviewed with great enjoyment. As a matter of fact, their Habanero flavored Peaceful Shot is one of the best energy shots I have had in a very long time. I was pretty excited to see a box full of new treats from them, and surprised to find not more shots, but these awesome looking bottles and all these new flavors.
If you are lucky enough to find these in stores near you, you can't go wrong with an icy cold Blutonium on a hot summer day.

Taste: Warm:5 Iced:10
Blutonium has done something very interesting with this flavor, in that they provide something that is very candy sweet, and choose not to carbonate it. That means the full 12 ounces is to be drunk like a punch or a Kool Aid. It takes a while to get used to this, as I was left really wanting the bubbles to help this one out. Not that it tasted bad by ANY means. This was sweet and delicious. It was also very sticky and syrupy, because of the real sugar used( and for which I really appreciate). All this was done without any bitterness or medicinal bite - just extra sweet watermelon strawberry flavors - like a thick melted Jolly Rancher.

The flavor actually reminded me very much of a melted Watermelon Strawberry popsicle. So Much so that I added one to my Slushie Maker and turned it into an Energy Slurpee ( Something I am bound to do during the summer months) and it makes the BEST slushed drink I have had in a long time. I am not sure I can handle a full bottle warm, but ice cold - this drink is heavenly.

Buzz:8
I got about 3 1/2 hours of energy out of this bottle - and it especially perked me up on a warm day. I felt more alive and alert, and it lasted about three hours or so before mellowing out so gradually I had a hard time judging time. The rush was never intense enough that I could feel it shaking my bones, but I just found myself fifteen minutes or so after drinking more alive, and coming down was such a gradual mellow that it was easy to settle into evening activities. This is not the drink of Triathlon Runners or Olympic Swimmers, this works just fine for the regular person who is feeling the need for energy.

In terms of caffeine, you are looking to about 150mg, a tad more than you would find in other standard energy drinks. There is some B Vitamin Complex in here, glucurolactone and phenylalanine. The thing that surprised me is also finding the enzyme blend - the stuff you find in some energy shots like 5 Hour in here too.

Packaging:9
Gone is their Not Safe For Work packaging that looks like a anal plug. In its place is a very unique and beautiful wrapped glass bottle - something so unique I am sure energy bottle and can collectors will be hunting for this one. The art is unique and stunning, with tick marks on the side to see how much you are consuming. Truly, this bottle is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

Not that there aren't issues though. Like, there is no listing of the caffeine content at all, so you have no idea how much you are drinking. You can see that there is just one 12 ounce serving in here, but no mention of the caffeine inside. If it were listed that would make this bottle a perfect 10 for design.
