Extreme Sport Ammo Energy Shot

Ammo is at it again, this time with a super concentrated liquid to help out in the gym. Well, I am all into fitness drinks, and am happy to have whatever help I need to get me through my morning workout. Loaded with flavor and more pep than a big can of Monster, this is a great one for just punching you awake and keeping alert. While it lets down in the functional fitness category, it makes a decent energy shot nonetheless.

Taste:9
Knowing this is a drink concentrate, I add this to my 20 ounce water bottle. The drink is light and refreshing, actually tasting mild enough to guzzle, while still tasty enough to flavor my water nicely. Now, the nice folk at Ammo sent me enough samples to really give this a try - and while it is OK for an workout drink, that is not where this one shines.
Even thought this is supposed to be all healthy and whatnot, this tastes best in all those drinkable things that are bad for you. Gin and Ammo? Yum! Rum and Ammo? WOO! Ammo and Coke? Amazing! I tried this stuff in about everything that I thought could handle the flavor of fakey fruit punch - and hey all worked out. Wine Coolers, Vanilla Milkshakes, Mountain Dew Slurpees, Mikes Hard Lemonade, Sprite, and even my Ginger Ale. This has a way of turning any drink into a super tasty energy drink.

Buzz:8
And it is OK that it goes so well in things so bad for you. Thats because you really don;t want this for the gym. The caffeine is nice - VERY nice, but the "sport" ingredients leave something to be desired. There is a litle tiny creatine, and a little potassium. Other than that, it is not really meant for the gym. It is also not going to make any drinks you have that much worse. just a little. About 25 calories and no High fructose Corn Syrup. Also it is jam packed full of preservative and food dye - so it is just about as bad for you as any other soda.
So as an energy drink it is great, just don't plan on it doing much for your workout routine.

Packaging:8
I love the cool packaging and the way they got such a gigh quality qrap around a thin 1 ounce unbreakable bottle. The whole thing is very slick and nicely done. I like the little tick marks on the side so you can tell how much you have consumed, and the whole military concept.
Problems are that they add potassium and creatine, bu don't mention how much, or even call it out so a person might get that it's supposed to be a workout drink.
