Sport energy

You know, I really don't mind it when you expect something, and it turns out to be true. When I buy a cheap crappy beer for 3 bucks a six-pack, I do not expect, nor want an Imperial Stout. And When I spend 69 cents for an energy drink named Mango Cream and looks like store brand canned food, I am not expecting a Xenergy or even a Monster. Sport Energy, released by a now defunct beverage company and sold at Big Lots, is exactly what I wanted in a cheap energy drink. No BS about how this drink is healthy, good for your body or will give you 3 days' worth of energy. This screams out oversweet soda with mundane energy profile - sold best in Save-a-Lot and Dollar Tree. If you want a fancy-shmancy drink, go to whole foods - this drink is bottom of the barrel and knows it.

And the design of this drink is what does the screaming - who thought this was a great look? I mean, my ten year old can draw a better energy drink label! Really - he can. The only thing I can guess is either they only had Powerpoint to design their label, or this company was really a front for drug trafficking, and the label was the one sure way that the company would be losing business. There is no one good hing to say about this can, except i did hold he liquid in without leaking. I did like how it exclaims it is "Made with real Sugar!" and Sport energy™ has Shocking ™ great taste!" did they really manage to trademark the word Shocking? Maybe that was how they planned on making their money!

As I said, there is nothing wrong with a drink knowing is place, and then giving you what you want. Remember tang? No one ever thinks Tang was was orange juice, no matter how much vitamin C it had. Every person I know loved tang because of the insane sugar - like orange flavored Pixy Stix. Tang knew what it was made for (Astronauts, right?) and stuck to it for forty plus years.

This Mango Cream might be advertising i was made with real sugar, but it is in no was pretending to be healthy. This is lightly mango flavored soda - and not very good soda at that. This is about as regular a flavor of soda as you could get. Unless you looked for it, you never would even think this was an energy drink, as the caffeine and other energy ingredients were masked quite well. So while it will never win any awards for great taste, it was certainly on par for a 69 cent soda pop.

Again, it is exactly was was expected of them. If I am asked what energy drinks were the most common, this is what I would ell them: 160mg of caffeine, 2000mg of Taurine,a little guarana, some ginseng and a whole lot of vitamin B complex. Guess what? That is exactly what there is in here. OF course all their added sugar gives you a quick simple carb rush, but generally, his is about as standard as they come.
