Brain toniq

Most of the time, I have a pretty fuzzy head. Either from years of blasting my head with loud music or filling it full of fun substances in college, I have very little long term memory, and my short term is reduced to selective moments. Driving - fine. Driving and listening to music - OK. Driving and listening to music and chewing gum? - look out.

OK - maybe I am exaggerating a little, but my brain can certainly use some mental clarity throughout the day ( as evidenced by the sheer volume of typos in all my energy drink posts). Brain Toniq is supposedly able to boost your mental acuity and help you focus on the tasks at hand - sorta like the anti tequila. What is is not supposed to be is any sort of energy drink, trying to be more functional than energizing. That's a good thing, as it provides about as much energy as a Country Time Lemonade.

One of my coworkers ( the one hooked on Blutonium like a Great Dane on Scooby Snacks) bought a full case of this to help him stay perky, alert and focused. So the first time he gave it a try, he fell asleep - and every time thereafter. For him this drink is a soothing balm to his senses. For me - I still choose tequila.

Nutrition/Buzz: 10 for nutrition, 0 for buzz
There is some great stuff in here - all organic and natural. This has a very nice mix of Siberian Ginseng, rhodiola root, Choline, blue-green algae and DMAE, this is filled with a tons of natural healthy gunk. They even sweeten this with agave nectar, so it is OK for diabetics and is all natural. Not ONLY tat - but this is also one of the very few Kosher beverages I have ever found, so even those who are Glatt Vegans can still enjoy it. I felt maybe a teeny bit more functioning than before, but that could have been psychosomatic too. If you had a choice between this can and a Kool aid, Arizona, Vitamin Water or Sobe, This is definitely the most healthy and nutritious of the lot, even if it can't keep you awake.

Packaging:8
One of the first things I noticed from the package is that this in NOT an energy drink. I appreciate this - as it is sold everywhere I see it next to the Monsters and Full Throttles. However, if anyone spends thirty seconds reading the can it is pretty obvious this drink is not a pick me up but something to improve brain function. The overall design is very nice and clean - getting to the point that this is going to help you get sharper, not faster. The only issue I had with the can is the positioning of the lid - where the logo of the drink is going to be covered up by the right hand of most of their drinkers. If they turned the lid 90 degrees they could get much better free advertising from anyone drinking their product.

Taste:8
While not at all what I was expecting, this drink comes off a cool crisp refreshment. While I was completely expecting the agave nectar flavor, I was not expecting the mix of fruit and citrus that makes this so unique. According to their site, this drink is a mix of passion fruit and lemon lime, but the combination never could have been pinpointed just by drinking, tasting closer to Ginger ale than passion fruit. Either way - seriously tasty stuff.

Website:8 - http://www.braintoniq.com
This site is very no nonsense and gets down to business quick. With more than 6 pages full of text, this text has about all the information you would need on the drink - and then some. They don't just have a listing of ingredients, but every one is explained how they work and what they do. They help you with places to buy, and even a faq if you have more questions.
The code is also very simple and clean - getting to specific information in no-frills html, which works well for the kind of site it is. I certainly would not browse here for fun, but if I was needing any info on the drink I would definitely find it here.
